Marts Mijkstaap

Thanks to everyone who made it out to the Copper Gate last night. Aquavit was sipped, Swedish meatballs were consumed, and mixtapes were handed out. This month's mix -- if you haven't guessed already -- has a Scandinavian bent, and that wasn't the only bending going on. Several of us made trips to view the naughty photo in the men's bathroom of the square-jawed lady with a little extra downstairs (it was only partially hanging out, so there's still room for debate). Anyways, I've put the new playlist up, and the photo in question (I SFW'ed it) and tracklist are below...

The Scandinavian Mix Mostly...(I'm not great at geography) Tracklist:

1. 13 - Hakkan Hellstom
2. Dead Sound - The Raveonettes
3. Zero - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
4. Fa Fa Fa - Datarock
5. Heartbeats - The Knife
6. Heartbeat - Annie
7. Elin - Magnus Carlson
8. Tonight I Have to Leave it - Shout Out Louds
9. Country Mile - Camera Obscura
10. Come Fly with Me - Anna Ternheim
11. Today I Will Dress Up - The Bear Quartet
12. The Worrying Kind - Maia Hirasawa
13. Cobrastyle - Robyn
14. Heartbeats - Jose Gonzalez
15. Oslo in the Summertime - Of Montreal
16. Brothersport - Animal Collective

The more observant of y'all will notice that the artists on this mix are only mostly Scandinavian, sorta like how that dude's only mostly lady. Thanks Dave!

Softer lesser slower weaker

Feeling the urge to irritate coworkers and annoy your live-in girlfriends? Here are a couple fun computer keyboard-based music thingys. Check out the iDaft, courtesy of Grace (well, courtesy of iDaft actually, but Grace showed it to me). Strap on your space helmet and rock out!

And please to enjoy the rainbow keyboard drum set (sent to me by Mr. March Mixtape, Dave). Click on the prismatic robot head to start the drum loop, and qwerty away on that shit ("B" is my fave). Bonus jitterbug points to anyone that recognizes where some of the samples are from.
